Teams already at work inside Richmond and El Segundo refineries

When Chevron Products Co. decided to employ union tradesmen and tradeswomen in its California refineries, they turned to Matrix NAC, a subsidiary of Matrix Service Company (Nasdaq: MTRX), with whom they have signed a master products and services agreement.
Under the agreement, Matrix NAC will provide turnaround and plant services for its U.S. refineries, including mechanical work, welding and piping work and other turnaround-related services, as well as tank repair and maintenance. The first in California to sign with Matrix NAC, our teams are already at work inside Chevron’s Richmond and El Segundo refineries with nearly 30 craftspeople onsite between the two refineries. Expectations are these numbers will nearly double by early summer.
“We take great pride in our longstanding, enterprise-wide relationship with Chevron,” said John R. Hewitt, President and CEO of Matrix Service Company. “We appreciate the ongoing trust Chevron has in our people to meet their exacting standards of safety and quality and look forward to supporting facility maintenance and capital project needs across their integrated energy and chemicals business in the downstream segment.”
