AEP – Cardinal Energy Center
Matrix NAC, working as a subcontractor for Black & Veatch Corporation, was the general contractor on American Electric Power Company's Cardinal Energy Center in Brilliant, Ohio.
The project scope consisted of retrofitting units no. 1 and 2 with flue gas desulphurization ductwork (FGD) and its support steel structures, structural steel buildings and utility racks, and miscellaneous rough-setting of process equipment.
Matrix NAC rigged and set a variety of ductwork, filters, limestone silos, dust collectors and belt feeders as well as erected more than 3,670 tons of structural steel, expending over 160,000 man-hours.
